Switzerland // Greyer

Wednesday, September 9, 2015
As I mentioned before, we didn't really have a strict itinerary for our trip before we left. While in Zermatt we planned out our final days, which would take us around Lake Geneva with and overnight in a town in that area. We randomly choose to stay in the town of Greyer because we like cheese, and it ended up being the perfect quaint little swiss town to wrap up our trip. Perched on the top of a hill overlooking the country side, the main town revolved around one road that led up to the castle and church at the top. The views were unbelievable and the buildings were absolutely gorgeous - covered in ivy and beautiful flowers. We ate dinner on a patio off the main road and halfway through dinner a group of diners, which was apparently a band, got our their instruments and started playing a few songs. It was such a special treat - it seemed so authentic and local. Plus it was really entertaining to watch because it was a group of all ages and all kinds of instruments. Greyer ended up being the perfect last stop on our Swiss trip!
