Italy // Savelletri

Tuesday, September 22, 2015

I had a few days off before the event started in Italy, which I spent riding a beach cruiser down to the private beach club along the gorgeous golf course, into the quaint fishing town of Savelletri, or throughout the ancient olive groves around the property. It was a dream - the warm weather, gorgeous sunset, riding through down a bumping dirt road through hundred year old olive trees, my camera and a book in my basket and not a care in the world. It was one of the most serene, out of body moments of my life. It's my new happy place.

Italy // Ostuni

Monday, September 21, 2015

Another city I visited was Ostuni, also known as"the white town". It's perched on a hill overlooking the valley and thousands of olive trees, and it's known for it's beautiful architecture and the white wash of the majority of the buildings (hence the nickname). There were tons of narrow, white alleyways with pops of color to explore and beautiful historic churches to photograph, and well worth the short drive to see. I feel so lucky to have been able to see these cities and experience Borgo Egnazia, and will definitely be making another trip back to this region with Jack soon!
