January Recap!

Wednesday, February 3, 2016

January has been dark, grey, and very slow. It's nice to slow down a bit after a crazy fall full of travel and exploring, but the dark days of Delft have got me itching for spring and more travels. Some highlights from this month include:

- It snowed! Just a few flurries of snow, and a day or two of semi-frozen canals, but I still count it as SNOW!

- A day trips around the Netherlands exploring Utrecht

- Bike riding to Den Haag to explore warm cafes

- Seeing the M.C. Escher exhibit in Den Haag

- Weekday field trip to the Natural History Museum in Leiden (and seeing some dino bones, which was awesome

- A fun night out in Amsterdam with Fulbright friends

- lots of cozy days in the apartment trying to stay warm and fighting off the lack of vitamin d depression

- Tulips from Jack to brighten my days :)

- Swan Market Lifestyle & Craft fair in Rotterdam

A sunny weekday trip to Leiden to do some shopping and gazing at this windmill:

A day of exploring Amsterdam's concept stores, second hand shops and cafes:
