We welcomed the new year with the most epic celebration of fire works, fresh snow, dancing, Czech beers and lots of laughs in Prague with our buddy Cris. We started the night off with delicious Czech dinner at with lots of Czech beers, then ventured over to a nearby park to get an awesome view of the city and the ridiculous firework show. There aren't any restrictions of fire works over here, so EVERYONE had them and were setting them off all night. Right before midnight it started to SNOW, which was so magical and beautiful and straight out of a fairytale. After ringing in the new year with some near death experiences of fireworks getting set off right behind our heads, we ventured down into the city to a festive Mexican restaurant to hand with some of Cris's buddies, drink more beer, and end up salsa dancing the night away. A few hours later we ventured back into the city to meet up with Cris's lady friend at the Irish bar she worked at. We ended up closing the place down (they literally were kicking us out the door), took an eventful Uber ride home (where I of course made best friends with the driver) and then spent the next hour dancing in the snow making snow angels and eating snowballs (which was apparently a horrible idea...) We stayed up until 7:30am trying to wait for the sun to rise (but it didn't until about 10am so I'm glad we didn't wait) and it was the most amazing, magical, epic way to ring in the new year. The only downside was that I was horribly sick the next day which I attributed to too much beer, but the sickness lasted a full two weeks into the new year, so I'm blaming the snow eating and horribly flu that has been traveling around. However, it was so worth it :)
